During their discussion about industry trends, Lance and Paul highlighted some of the innovations that were announced at this year’s BigSummit conference that was held at the historic Austin City Limits Live venue, such as the release of Catalyst, BigCommerce’s reference architecture for headless storefronts. BigCommerce also acquired Makeswift, a visual editor for online storefronts, and has plans to integrate it into Catalyst. This exciting new ecommerce development would allow business owners to deploy a headless storefront with a click of a button and to customize their storefront with Makeswift’s drag-and-drop innovations. Lance characterized these developments as “at the bleeding edge of what is possible in ecommerce.”
